Our basic kids' yoga teacher training and service retreat will be held at the magical, eco-friendly, beach side Xinalani, Yoga Retreat in Mexico near Puerta Vallarta. Xinalani has been deemed 'Most Spectacular Spots for Yoga Practice' by Yoga Journal. Become a certified children's yoga instructor while enjoying an opportunity to share yoga with local children and contribute to school/library development project. Retreat includes ample time for relaxation and adventure, too! Register by July 31, 2012 and enjoy early bird rates from just $1,180 - $1,600 (includes everything, except airfare - training (optional), lodging, meals, daily yoga and meditation, seva opportunity, taxes and transfer from airport).
Week long retreat will begin with the ChildLight Yoga Teacher Training, held over 2.5 days in the beautiful open-air yoga studio on site. Students will then be paired up to create lesson plans to share later in the week with local children at gatherings to be organized by Lisa and the Xinalani Retreat. In addition, opportunities abound to assist Xinalani's seva work focused on school and library development for the local community. Suggestions on how best be of service will be shared in an info packet following registration.

SEVA PLANNING: You will be paired up to work together (at a time and place agreeable to both) to create a lesson plan to share a 1/2 hour yoga class with a group of local children later in the week. Specific teaching schedule TBD.

RATES PER PERSON (Early Bird BEFORE July 31 / AFTER July 31)
Rates are expressed in US Dollars and include ChildLight Yoga Teacher Training (optional), accommodations, three meals a day, transport from the airport from the airport, daily yoga and meditation, seva opportunity, and taxes. Due to limited space availability, options are presented for double / shared rooms only. For suite options, you may specify your roommate or we will pair you up with a roommate of the same gender. Should you require a single room, please contact us before registering so that accommodation options can be determined. Please note there are limited spots available. Register early to ensure your room choice and overall availability.

Basic ChildLight Yoga Teacher Training Course:
Includes 17 contact hours, comprehensive, fully-illustrated ChildLight Yoga Instructor Manual, many useful handouts, the corresponding CD of Yoga Songs for Children, certification administration and materials, membership in the CLY Instructor community, and much more. CEUs, PDPs, and Yoga Alliance credit hours:Participants who complete the ChildLight Yoga Teacher Training are eligible to receive 1.5 CEUs from the University of Southern Maine (USM). Please notify us in advance if a form is required to receive CEUs. These will be collected at the training, along with a $20 processing fee payable to USM.
Registered yoga teachers are eligible for continuing education contact hours through Yoga Alliance.
Professional Development Points (PDPs) may also be available through your employer.
As each credentialing organization has their own requirements, you should confirm with them that your training hours will apply toward your degree or continuing education requirements. Application for accreditation from these organizations is your responsibility. Additional fees may be required.
