Lisa Burk-McCoy, RYT is thrilled to be a part of the ChildLight Yoga team, where she focuses on teaching yoga to pre-teens and teens. "Yoga teaches us to connect wholly with ourselves, body mind and spirit. As adults, we can struggle to maintain our ease in being whole, yet it's something children do quite naturally. Children have an innate capacity to live joyfully in the moment. With yoga, they learn to take that capacity, and their integrated sense of self, into their adult lives." Lisa holds a 200 hour teaching certificate in Classical Yoga from the YogaLife Institute, a prenatal yoga certification, and children's yoga certifications from ChildLight Yoga and Itsy Bitsy Yoga. When not practicing yoga, she dabbles as a musician, playing flute in a local contradance band and teaching classical flute lessons to children and adults.
