Girl Time Yoga 2

As they grow, girls in the company of girls are best able to explore their own potential. Free to be themselves, they explore what it means to love whole-heartedly and to live without affectation; they support one another, share their dreams and realize who they are and what they really need in their lives.

Girl Time Yoga for late pre-teen and teenage girls provides an opportunity for girls to discuss what matters most to them. Through the practice of yoga poses, relaxation and meditation, girls develop physical strength and stamina, greater emotional stability and a strong sense of self. Yoga is a practice of introspection and self discovery that leads to positive body image, self love and a can-do attitude. It allows girls to develop a better understanding of what it means to be a young woman, to be self-sure and confident of her power to positively affect the world.

To help older girls develop a better understanding of yoga "off the mat," classes also work toward an end of the year service project. "ChildLight Yoga in Action" is designed to help young women understand their connection to their community and to support them as they recognize and offer their gifts in service to others.

All of our sessions are appropriate for girls who are new to yoga, as well as for those who are continuing their instruction.
